Last night’s headline of Facebook:
Joan Baez, To the People of Iran: “In you the world sees the power of nonviolence. We hear it in the roar of your silence and see it in your eyes. Ss you sit down peacefully in the face of terror. We are moved by your courage and inspired by your sacrifices. I am fortunate to be alive to witness this movement.”
Maybe nobody was expecting what is happening here these days. Years ago when we used to listen to the 60s-70s music and merge it with the images of our parents revolution we could never imagine to witness this moment. Neda became the top ten protest symbol according to Time magazine. In fact Neda was one of the many, but the others died anonymously and even took days for their families to find it out.
After the black Saturday, all the main squares of the city is under restrict control and Full of Police forces, No major protest was organized, only some scattered street protesters kept on. Tehran never returned to be pre-election Tehran. We are fumbling in the dark due to communication and media repression and state Television is becoming a focus of Iranian anger. City is shadowed by depressive silence. But we heard a friend saying: when landscape changes it means you are in the next level. So we are not “game over”.
